Social Audit (Covid Support Expansion Project)

During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, various initiatives were undertaken to provide support and assistance to those affected. Here are the details of some key activities:

Food Packet Distribution:

A total of 400 families were provided with food packets to ensure their nutritional needs were met during the pandemic. These food packets contained essential items to sustain the families during the difficult times.

Vaccination Drive:

Approximately 2,800 people were vaccinated as part of an extensive vaccination drive. The vaccination program aimed to protect individuals from the COVID-19 virus and mitigate the spread of the disease within the community.

Volunteer Training and Distribution of COVID Kits:

A group of 50 dedicated volunteers were trained to assist in various COVID-related activities. These volunteers played a vital role in creating awareness, distributing COVID kits, and supporting the community. The COVID kits consisted of essential items such as face masks, sanitizers, and informational materials to educate individuals about preventive measures.

Awareness Campaign:

With the assistance of the trained volunteers, a comprehensive awareness campaign was conducted. This campaign reached out to a total of 10,522 individuals, raising awareness about the importance of following COVID-19 safety guidelines, practicing hygiene measures, and staying updated with accurate information. The aim was to empower the community with knowledge and encourage responsible behaviour during the pandemic.

These efforts collectively aimed to alleviate the impact of the pandemic by addressing immediate needs, ensuring vaccination coverage, and creating awareness among the population. The dedication and collaboration of volunteers, community members, and organizations were crucial in providing support and mitigating the challenges faced during these unprecedented times. Community Toilet Establishment

SVSS has undertaken a project to address the urgent need for a community toilet at Baba Kinnaram Ashram in Chandauli district, Uttar Pradesh. The ashram, located a few hundred kilometers from Varanasi, is visited by thousands of people daily, including women and children. It has become essential to have a well-managed and maintained community toilet facility to cater to the toiletry needs of the visitors.

After conducting an initial survey and engaging in discussions with the ashram’s management, SVSS identified the requirement for two community toilets to effectively address the sanitation concerns. The project aims to provide one community toilet at Baba Kinnaram Ashram in Chandauli district, Eastern Uttar Pradesh. The community toilet will have separate sections for men and women, including:
